Not So Private Anymore

So I wanted to be private, but it became so complicated to send invites and trying to figure out how to send them. I could get some, but then when I wanted to add people, it was stubborn and wouldn't let me. Oh well. So I am not private any more. Stupid technology.

Happy Halloween!

This year was a lot of fun. Cameron is getting older and starting to understand more. It started with reading something on pinterest. Someone did 31 Days of Halloween and I thought now that Cameron was older, I could do that. Boy was it a lot of work. It was just hard coming up with ideas of what to do. I finally put a list together of things I thought Cameron would enjoy. There were things he wasn't too sure about, but he got the hang of it and ended up liking the activities. Some things were things we would do any ways like trick or treating, but every day I had a craft or activity for him to do. I am ready for next year :)

This year, Cameron wanted to be Super Why! for Halloween, but I was not going to spend $30 on a costume to wear once. I decided that I could make it. I went out to look for a green outfit that he could wear and then I would make the cape and mask to go with it. I looked every where for a green shirt and pants. I could not find anything! I was so disappointed that he finally could pick a costume and he couldn't even wear what he wanted. We ended up finding a fireman outfit for 50% off. He ended up liking it because he is into his snow boots right now and that is what he got to wear with it.

Taryn was a cute lady bug. A girl from work (thanks Cassie!) let me borrow this cute outfit of a lady bug and it fit perfect! It even kept her warm. I was even able to dress up as a lady bug too so we could match :)

Friday, October 26th was our ward trunk or treat. So many kids!! Taryn and I sat in the van giving out the candy while daddy and Cameron went to collect the candy. I had 8 bags of candy and I still ran out! It was amazing to see so many kids! Cameron had a lot of fun though.

We went out on Halloween too. I wish they would do it all in one night, but it was fun to see Cameron go door to door this year. He had fun knocking on the door to say trick or treat, happy halloween, thank you! So cute! He wasn't sure really what to do afterwards, but he had a lot of fun and it will be even more fun next year. Time to start planning costumes :)

6 months!

My little girl isn't so little any more. She is already 6 months old! We were able to go do the doctor and she is doing great. There are things she still needs to work on, but that is typical. She is still learning to stand up (she loves the fetal position) and still doesn't roll over. She has a few times from her tummy to her back, but she is just content laying down on the floor. Just like Cameron was.

Her stats are: weight 14 lbs 7 oz (50%) and length 23 1/4" (50%). She has a bouncer we use and that has helped a bit with learning to hold herself up with her legs. We will get there. We are also learning how to sit up by our self too. We are slowly getting that too. One step at a time.

3 years!

My little boy is 3! I can't believe it! It seems like not too long ago, I was hold him in my arms and welcoming him into this world. Now, he is a big boy. He speaks really well, he loves to sing, he loves his little sister, and has so much energy, I don't know what to do LOL.

We had a little tractor party for him. I had a lot of fun making the cake :) We had Shad and Brittany and their family over for dinner and cake and ice cream. Hard to make a good dinner for what he wants when he is so picky though. You can only make so much mac and cheese, chicken nuggets and hot dogs ;)

We had fun though. We got him a Hanny Manny tool set so now he can be like daddy. Papa and Dee Dee bought him some learning toys that include a clock, a shoe to learn to tie the laces, letters, and abiscus. Shad and Brittany got him a small football, silly putty, and a coloring page with the felt of Lightning McQueen. He sure loved opening all the gifts and enjoying time with family.

He sure has hit a fun stage. His favorite roll model is his dad right now. He follows daddy everyone and does everything daddy does. He even asks me if he can go to work like daddy. It is a cute stage. His new favorite shows are Curious George and Super Why! He is starting to learn to put words together because of this show. He is getting better at his letters, capital and lower case. It is fun seeing him learn. I know he would love to go to school and learn, but he is "too young". He had to be 3 by Sept 15, so I guess we will wait until next year, but it might be a good thing. He is still working on his patience ;)

He is a fun boy and we love him so much. Happy Birthday Cameron!

5 months

My little girl is 5 months! Wow! She sure is getting big. She has these beautiful chubby cheeks that everyone just loves. She is doing well on her solids. She now eats rice cereal, oatmeal, green beans, peas and carrots. She loves the new food. I am going to start trying to make my own food for her though. It is getting expensive quick and when I am trying to save money, I have to do what I can.

She is getting lots better at tummy time. She is starting to last longer. It is fun to watch her just kick those legs while on her tummy. She is trying to sit up by herself, but still working on that. She still can't stand up, but the doctor wants me to go get an X-Ray of her hips to make sure those are ok. I just need to go and do it. He wants to make sure that they are okay because of her being breech. Just need to keep practicing with her.

She sure loves Cameron. He loves to make her smile and laugh. She always seems to look to try to find him. It is fun to see them interacting more. Makes it more fun :)

She is now sleeping 11.5 hours a night with 2 naps during the day. Makes more a happy momma :)

She still has her fussy times, but she is lots better. We love this little girl and can't wait to see what next month brings!

Boondocks

A little while back, we had the opportunity to go to Bookdocks with some friends while we were up in Layton going to my cousins baby shower. It was a last minute thing, so I didn't have my camera, but luckily the friends we went with did. They took pictures for us. It was Cameron's first time miniture golfing and he loved it! It is all he asks to do now. He even got to ride on the boats and shoot water at people. He loved it all and with it being hot that day, the water was perfect :)

Fire Station

Once a week, our ward has a get together for the mom's and children in the ward. You can come and go as you please. I have gone a couple times just to get out of the house (especially to let Cameron get energy out). If it is something where I don't think I can handle them both, I don't go, but I know he likes it.

This past week, we were able to go to the Lehi Fire Station. We had to go late because I had to feed Taryn, but we were still able to go. Cameron wasn't too sure, but he wanted to go inside a truck. He wasn't able to, but he got to at least get his own hat and sit on the fire truck to get a picture. We hope there are a lot more exciting places to go. Harder now winter is coming, but I am going to try harder to get him to activities to socialize because he needs it.

4 months

I can't believe my little girl is 4 months! Why can't pregnancy go as fast as this? LOL They grow up so quickly. We have gotten permission to start the solids with her. She did really good on the first time, but then became a little hesitant. After a little while, she picked it right up again and now we are just slowly increasing the amount she eats.

At her 4 month, she is doing well. She weighs 12 lbs 13 oz (50%). She is 24 1/2 (50%) in length. She is growing big. She is laughing lots and smiling lots too. Cameron loves to copy mom and dad to make her laugh. She loves it though. I love seeing them get a long. I hope it lasts.

She still is struggling to roll over. She has done it a couple of times, but she stopped. She is like her brother and is content with just laying on her back. I am ok with that. I'm not ready for another mobile baby, yet. She has been struggling with standing up and the doctor is afraid it is because of her hips. He wants to do an x-ray to make sure everything is okay. I just don't want to pay the bill for that. We have been practicing everyday though and she is getting better. She is doing well at tummy time. Just need for her to last longer though.

Everything else is going well. Just having fun with a little girl and still learning how to juggle two kids still. I know I will get it, eventually. :)

Going Private

I knew this day would come. There are getting to be a lot of weird people reading the blog so I think it is time to go private. Trying to protect my family :) Please leave a comment with your email if you would like to be added. I will change it in a few weeks so let me know1

Pass of All Passes

Tyler and I decided to invest in the Pass of All Passes. It helps that we got a great deal on it. This will allow us to go do a few things for free now that we have the pass. And it doesn't expire for a year!! We have already put it to good use. We have gone miniature golfing and Cameron even got to ride on some stuff for the first time. We can't wait to use it more!

3 months

Our sweet little girl turned 3 months old. It still amazes me how time flies, especially with two kids. It seems to make time go by faster when you have two.

She seems to be doing better every day. She isn't as fussy, but we are getting there. I tried to do no dairy to see if that would help, but it didn't seem to. It sure was a long 14 days though without dairy. Not sure why she is still fussy, but we will keep doing what we need to as parents.

She is getting so big. She is wearing 3-6 month clothes now. Mostly because of her head. It sounds bad, but the opening at the top doesn't fit over her head so we had to move to bigger sizes. She swims in them though. She is starting to wear dresses to church, so of course I am having fun with that.

Cameron still loves his little sister and she loves him. He will constantly give her kisses. We have to tell him to give her space so she can move and do what she needs to do. She loves to watch him go all over though. I am sure she will love it once she can move too and play with him. We will see how he acts though.

I love having my little girl. It is frustrating at times, but the good always outweigh the bad. The kids are great and I love being a mom.

Family Pictures

We had the opportunity to get our family pictures done, thanks to Tyler. Enjoy!

2 months

Our baby girl is now 2 months. I can't believe it. Time always goes by so fast, especially when taking care of two kids. She is still a little fussy with this acid reflux. It makes things a little harder. I can't just put her down to take care of Cameron. Well, I can until she starts screaming. I have just been told to try to stop diary from my diet. I guess we do what we can to make our kids happy. It is going to be very tough for me. I LOVE milk. I guess if she stops fussing, then I need to do it. The doctor said by 6 months, it should be better. The muscle in the stomach area becomes stronger. There is a possibility that solids will help at 4 months. That would be nice.
She is sleeping through the night which is really nice. She sleeps usually 6-7 hours a night now. It helps me, especially since I work at night. I get home about 10:30 pm, feed her and then she is in bed at 11 til about 5:30. Sure helps me out.
Went to the doctor today and she is doing well. Her stats are 10 lbs 5 oz (45%) 23 inch tall (75 %). She is sure growing big. The first thing people say is her cute chubby cheeks and I do say, they are cute.

Cameron is getting so big too. I can't believe he is 2.5 years and will be 3 years old in 4 months! It goes by so fast! He still loves his baby sister. I think he is struggling right now because he wants to play with her, but she is still so small. Soon enough he will be able to.

1 month

I can't believe that it has already been a month! Time really flies by, especially when you are busy taking care of two kids now.

It is sure different with two. It is a big adjustment. I am glad my mom was here for a while to help me. I don't know if I could have done it myself, especially that first week. She was such a big help, especially with Cameron. He needed that attention and she gave it to him. He loved having Dee Dee here to play with.

It is amazing how different the two of them already are. Cameron was such a good baby. It didn't take long to get him on a schedule and sleeping through the night. Taryn is a lot fussier. She spits up a lot more and when she does it is a lot. We actually took her to the doctor to see what is going on and found out that she has acid reflux. She is now on medication. She hasn't thrown up in a while, but still a little fussy. I hope that the medicine works soon so I can have a happy little girl.

She was weighed at the doctor's office to make sure she was gaining and she weighs 8 lbs 5 oz. She has already gained 2 lbs! I was worried she wasn't getting enough fat, but she obviously is. I am happy she is growing. She is getting bigger everyday and I can't believe how fast time flies.

I am back to work :( but we have to pay the bills. Tyler takes care of the kids at night so he is trying to get used to that. Hopefully the kids won't drive him too crazy.

We do love having her in our family and can't wait to see what she will be learning next.

Introducing...

Here is our little Taryn Voris. She was born April 27, 2012 at 4:32 pm. She is our new bundle of joy.

I guess I will give a little background as to what happened. On Wednesday, the 25th, I went to the doctor to make sure all was okay. I wasn't dialating. I was barely at 1 cm. He was asking me about being induced and we were going to set it up for that next Monday. As he was checking everything, he noticed she wasn't head down. I started tearing up because I knew what it meant and I was scared. I didn't want to have to get her turned. I have heard so many horror stories about how much it hurts. He told me we would set it up for Friday. They would give me an epidural and then turn her. I was glad I would be numb for it.

We arrived at 6 am at the hospital. At 7, they finally came in to give me my fluids. At 7:30, the doctor arrived to check on her. She flipped back down! I was so relieved. The doctor went ahead and broke my water to make sure she would stay down. That was something I don't want to have happen again while I am not numb. It was not a pleasant feeling. It didn't help being in so much pain anyways.

The nurse gave me the petocin at 9 am because I hadn't started contractions on my own yet. At 9:30, I got my epidural ( I'm not very good with pain lol). I finally started dialating and was able to sleep a little bit. About 3:30 pm, I was starting to feel a lot of pressure. I called the nurse and she came to check on me and I was at 9 cm. She called the doctor to let him know I was ready. He was driving from another hospital so I had to not push. It was so hard not to.

The doctor finally arrived at about 4:20 and she arrived at 4:32 pm. She was 6 lbs 5 oz 19 inches long. She has dark hair and blue eyes. She is so beautiful and we love having her here in our family.

Cameron loves his little sister. I was so worried how he would react. He wants to kiss her and hold her all the time. We have to tell him to give her space so she can breath lol. I am so glad he loves her. I just hope he continues to.

Easter

This year for Easter was a little bit more fun. Cameron is older so we can start having more fun with him. On Saturday, our neighborhood had an Easter egg hunt. It was hard when there are so many kids his age in a small area, but he got a few eggs. Hopefully next year he will do better. He keeps talking about finding the eggs so that is a good start.
We were able to dye eggs that night. I got an idea off of Pinterest to help Cameron dye eggs and it actually worked! You put the egg in a whisk and put it in the cup. That way you don't have to worry about them dropping the egg and it breaking (even if it is boiled). We also used kool aid to dye the eggs. It wasn't too bad. It was harder to get perfect colors, but for 20 cents each, not too bad.
Sunday morning, the Easter bunny left a trail of plastic eggs leading to the Easter basket. Cameron wasn't sure what to think until he saw his basket and it was full of candy. I think the Easter bunny might be a little more tricky next year. That afternoon we went over to Shad and Brittany's for dinner and was able to spend time with them. Always nice to have some family close by to spend time with. I hope next year will be a little bit more fun with Cameron being older.

33 weeks

Here I am at 33 weeks. I can't believe we are getting so close, but yet I wish we were done. This pregnancy has been a lot harder on me than it was with Cameron.

This pregnancy, I have been sick the entire time again. It isn't as bad as with Cameron, but I still have to take medicine to avoid being sick. It sure isn't fun. I have tried to get off the medicine, but that does not work. I guess I will be on this medicine again for the full pregnancy.

I am also having more pain this time around. I hurt sometimes so bad that I wake up crying. It sure is not fun this time around. With Cameron at this point I was just feeling big. Right now I wish I was closer to being done so I could be done. I was hoping this one would be better, but oh well. At least she is still healthy and growing at where she needs to be. Now I just need to be patient and wait for her to come. Not much else I can do I guess.

Other than that, we are doing great. Cameron has started potty training and is doing really well. He has gotten the peeing down, but still working on pooping. He gets scared and holds it in. Still trying to get that one figured out. I am sure he will get it. Just have to keep working on it.

We are excited that spring is here. We are loving playing outside and not having to be stuck inside. We just bought a trampoline so we are excited to try that out. Other than that, we are just hanging in there until this little one comes to join our family.

Valentine's Day

I can't believe it is Valentine's Day already. This year is already off to a fast start. I can't believe spring will be here before we know it.

This year, Valentine's Day is a little different with Cameron being a little older. He still isn't sure, but all he knows is that there is candy :) Cameron and I went shopping for Tyler the day before. He was helping me get a few last minute things and we went to find something for Tyler from Cameron. It was fun to see him give it to Tyler. He wanted to share it with daddy, but it is a good thing Cameron got a Valentine too :)

I had fun putting Tyler's gift together. I saw something on a site called The Dating Divas which got me thinking about what I could do for him. I got together about 5 things and attached a note to each of why I put them in the basket.

Thank goodness Tyler likes my cheesiness :)

I hope you all had a great Valentine's Day!
