So, we went to the doctor yesterday. It was a busy day for me. I worked that morning 7-1, the doctor's appt was at 1:30 and then I had a test at 3. I never had a real opportunity to breath.
Anyway, it was hard to sit in that office and wait to be called back. We were both so anxious to find out what we are having. We finally were called back. I layed down on the table so they could get the ultrasound ready and me in the right position. She was really nice and explained everything that she was seeing. Technology is so cool now days. We even got to see 4D!!! We couldn't see the face because the hand kept covering and wouldn't let us see :( It was still very interesting to see though.
So, we found out that we are having.....a boy!!! We are so excited! Either way, we are :) I am excited because I can start shopping now lol. Even though it was a busy day yesterday, it was a great day.

Boy or Girl???
So, we go to see the doctor next week and we get to find out the sex of our baby!! We are so excited!! I am just worried that Tyler won't be able to come with me. The appointment is at 1:30 pm and he works til 2:45 pm. The nurse only works specific times so I had to make the appointment at 1:30. If Tyler can't make it, I will make them not tell me, but write it down and then stick it in an envelope so we can know together. I want Tyler to know with me.
Anyways, I want your opinion. Some have already told me they think it is a boy in a previous post. Just taking a poll to see what everyone thinks. So far 3 say it is a boy. What do you think it is?????

So sad, but yet so happy
I got a call the other night from my mom saying that my uncle had passed away. I was wondering when this day would happen. He has been sick since I can remember. According to my parents, it has been 25+ years. He has had kidney failure and has been on dialysis since. It is sad that he has left this earth, but I know that it is happy too because he isn't suffering anymore. I had the opportunity to live with my aunt and uncle for 3 years. I am glad I had this opportunity to get to know them even better. Uncle Brad, we love you so much and we will see you again :)

Baby Update...
We had another doctor's appointment yesterday. I was scared we were going to be late because our Utah weather kicked in and started to snow. Our house got about 4 inches and that was just during the day. I was lucky that my team allowed me to leave early. They are so awesome!!
Anyway, we got to the doctor's office. I had to use the bathroom so I ran down the hall while Tyler signed us in. We waited 3 mins and they called us back. This has never happened before. I'm not complaining though :). So the nurse is showing us to our room. She takes my weight and I have lost 3 lbs. Since my first visit, it has been 7 lbs total. It takes me to get pregnant to finally lose weight!?! I'm glad I haven't lost too much though because I know that is bad.
The nurse then asks me if I can pee in a cup (sorry so blunt). Of course they ask me after I have already gone to the bathroom. The nurse told me that they want to do this everytime I come in. That would have been nice to know. I guess they will have to wait to the next time. So, we went into our room where she took my blood pressure, which was good, and then I was asked to lay down. She brought a tiny machine in with her. I have never seen this one before. She then told me that we were going to hear the heart beat!
It was the coolest thing ever!! I did have to ask if it was a good rate. I don't know anything about rates, even my own. She said it was good and we will hear it every time from now on. I got tears in my eyes thinking that there is a little person in my stomach right now. It is such a wonderful experience. The doctor then came in, talked to us for 2 mins and then we were done. The fastest appointment I have ever had! It was great! Our next appointment in 4 weeks will give us our exact due date, we get a 3D ultrasound with a DVD, and we will know the gender of our little one! It is so exciting!!!
That is all that happened for now. We will keep you updated, especially after the next appointment. What do you think I am having? A boy or a girl? Just want to see what people think ;)

Tyler Blogs Again!
These last few months have been very hard for me and I can say that they were very unanticipated. Not only has it been a roller-coaster for Lacey (being pregnant and very sick) but it has taken such an incredible toll on me as well. I won't be anywhere near in comparison to the hardships of Lacey; nor am I implying that I have it easy. I never imagined that it would be so hard to be the husband in a pregnant relationship. I've been trying all that I can to be doing everything for Lacey; buying food on the spot to catch her cravings, attempting to be emotionally supportive, etc.. It hasn't been delightful that's for sure. If this is how all pregnancies go for us, this definitely hasn't been a good motivator to have more. However, I've had many people tell me that when the baby comes it will make the whole journey worth it. Let's just hope the baby isn't at all like me and then we can say it was worth it.
Work has been interesting. I know for sure that interpreting is not the job I've always dreamed of and it will not be what I do for the rest of my life. It pays our bills and gets us out of debt... sure... I just don't love it. This has really been a driving force for me to consider what I want to be studying in college. Film and sound work still is in the corners of my thoughts, but it isn't the only one. I've also been considering Meteorology and maybe even becoming a Doctor. Both of those fields would then require me to transfer to the University of Utah because Utah Valley University doesn't have any of those programs. I still have a long way to go. However, on the upside, I could be graduating with my associates as soon as December! That is if I can get the classes I want and figure out one small little problem with taking a class in the middle of the day. Other than that, that's my goal.
I don't blog here often, but seeing that my client hasn't shown up for the last hour, I thought I would. Another positive thing is that I'm not screaming and yelling! That's got to be good right?

WHAT????
Well, I have some good news. In some recent posts, I have stated that nothing new or exciting has been going on in our lives, but I admit, I have lied. Well, not really lied but kept a secret. Tyler and I are having a new addition to our home. We are pregnant!!! I am 10 weeks a long. I am due at the beginning of October. It is something we are both excited for. :)
In case you were wondering, we were not planning this at all. We weren't even going to start trying until this fall, but I guess Heavenly Father had other plans for us. It is funny how things work out. I will be graduating on May 1st with my bachelor's degree so I won't have to worry about going back to school. I am still working on my interpreting certification, but I have faith that it will all work out.
The only thing about this pregnancy so far is that I have been sick. I was sick the first few weeks, but now that I am farther, it seems to have gotten worse. I seem to call the doctor all the time :) That is what they are there for ;) We went to see the doctor yesterday and he said the baby is healthy and kicking, literally. I obviously can't feel it right now, but it was cool to see the arms going all over the place and to see the heart beat. In 8 weeks, we will be able to see what it is (male/female).
This is definitely an exciting time in our life. We are excited for my parents to become grandparents for the third time and I know they are excited as well. I wish they lived closer, but nothing we can do about that right now. That is our exciting news for now. We will keep you updated :)

Tax Money
Tyler and I finished with our taxes a few weeks ago. We like to get it done and over with so we don't have to worry about it any more. We got some money back and we were trying to decide what we wanted to do with it. We thought about splitting it up an each having half, but then we decided to get a big gift for both of us. We decided to get another Wii. We sold our first one to some friends. We don't regret this at all. We didn't use the Wii back then. Recently, Wii has come out with some amazing games and we missed our Wii. We did buy the Wii with the Wii Fit and Mario Kart. We are excited to play the games more than we ever have. Tyler is already playing it about every night. We are excited about our decision and it was worth every penny :)
