Goals

I have been doing a lot of thinking lately. I have realized that I have achieved all the goals that I have planned while in school. I wanted to get a Bachelor's degree, get my level 2 in interpreting, and eventually get my national level for interpreting as well. I have achieved all and funny enough in the same year! It has been a process to get them all, but I achieved them all. I owe it to Cameron since I got them all while pregnant with him ;)

Anyways, I was thinking today and I realized that I have no other personal goals. I have goals like getting a house and being a mom (which I have achieved as well), but those are things I can't do by myself. I want to do things that will make me a better person.
  • Read my scriptures every morning
  • Be more creative (learn how to sew more things, scrapbook more, make cakes, etc.)
  • Lose 20 lbs.
  • Do more than just watch TV (be more productive)
  • Run a 5K

That is what I can think of right now, but they are all things I can do all the time. It is a list that will keep me busy. Just hope I can stick to it.

Vacation to Texas

We have made it home from Texas. Tyler was up at camp with my dad and Scott while us three girls stayed home. It was the coolest I have ever seen Texas in the middle of the summer. It was feeling the affects from the hurricane so there was a lot of rain. Even at camp, it was cooler. It stayed in the 80's and sometimes cooler. 2 years ago, Tyler was up at camp and it was 115 degrees. A big difference!

It was fun being just the girls though. ManDee had to work 3 days that week, but then on Friday we went to meet the boys. I was hoping to take Cameron swimming for the first time, but it was so rainy that we couldn't. Hopefully soon we will be able to go.

While in Texas, my mom taught me how to can chicken. It was a lot easier than I thought. I have made jam, but this is totally different. I wish I had the utensils to make more chicken, but at least I have some for now. Maybe one of these days when I save up the money I can get one. We will see.

Cameron had a lot of fun with everyone. He loved getting spoiled. Aunt ManDee even bought him an airplane outfit to wear on the way home. Everyone at the airport commented on how cute he was.

Now we are home and back into reality. We got home and our carbon monoxide alarm was going off! What a way to start off! The fire department had to show up and everything. Cameron sure love the big red truck though. That is his new favorite color, it seems like. We are just glad that it was just the batteries and nothing serious.

As much as we had fun with family, we are glad to be home and in our own beds; just in time to clean and get ready for my parents to come into town :)

Happy Fourth of July!!

I can't believe that it is July! I hate how summer goes by so fast and the school year seems to drag on, especially winter. It just isn't fair! I guess we can't control the weather. Sometimes I wish I could.

This year, we are with my family in Texas. Tyler was asked to make another film for my dad and the Boy Scout Ranch for more advertising. Of course, Tyler can't go without me and Cameron, so we went too ;) I wouldn't want to be in Utah all alone either. I'd rather be with my family and spend time with them. It gives them time to be with Cameron as well. It will be fun to go on a
"vacation" as well. Just to get out of the state. It is always good ;)

Cameron is also 9 months old! He is just growing so fast! He is doesn't seem like a baby anymore except for the part that he doesn't move yet. He is finally pushing up when he is on his tummy (mini push-ups as they are called) so that is a big step for him. Now just to learn how to move while on his tummy. He moves on his back in a circle which is fun to watch. He pushes himself up with his legs into a bridge position and moves around. It is very interesting. He has learned to pick up food with the pincher fingers. Sometimes he doesn't get it right, but he has the basic concept of it. It is fun to listen to him try to talk as well. He is saying "daddy" and "momma" pretty clear. Just waiting for him to separate it to each of us. It was so cute though. Makes my heart melt :)

We are still enjoying the new house. We love it!! We are still working on the landscape, but that will take some time as we are trying to save for the lawn, bushes, trees, concrete, and my garden. The garden probably won't happen until next year, but we are at least saving a little spot for it. I am excited to grow my own flowers and some vegetables. It will be fun!
